This is a fukuro style obi in stripes of white, orange, and black forest green ground with indigo reverse.
Aizu cotton is a traditional folk art fabric of a simple stripe pattern used for everyday wear in the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture. Today, it is widely used for clothing, interior items such as tablecloths and cushions, books, and folk art such as ties and wallets.
If not used to wear a kimono, it would be perfect for use as a table runner for home gatherings or repurposed as a beautiful and durable fabric, etc.
