This kimono of repeated diamond & flower pattern woven in the pale pink silk is a rare find for one made in the 1950s. The edge of the white lining (hakkake) is a dark orange-red. Its sleeves are decorated with various kinds of colorful flowers mingling with the lucky sho-chiku-bai (pine, bamboo, plum blossom) pattern and intermittent gold paint.
You could wear this to lounge in luxury, go out on the town, or it could decorate a wall in your home.
